Formula 1 – Alonso takes Victory at his home Grand Prix

Alonso F1 Spain 2013 Fernando Alonso delighted his home fans with an impressive victory at the Spanish Grand Prix.

Alonso started the race from fifth, got a good start and moved up. Alonso’s was so quick that he managed to execute a four-stop strategy to beat the three pit stopping Kimi Raikkonen from taking victory. Kimi finished the race second followed by Felipe Massa making it into the top 3.

Vettel who finished fourth made little or no impact in stopping Alonso from taking away his home victory.

Mercedes had a troubled weekend with pole setter Nico unable to gain on the strong qualifying result managed to only to finish the race in 6th position ahead of his team mate Hamilton who finished in 12th taking no points from the Spanish GP.
