Earlier we reported that Nissan was looking to launch its sedan Sunny in India. Nissan is now expected to be launching Sunny in India by september 20th. Sunny will be initially be launched in a petrol version. Nissan has not revealed any specs or prices. But Sunny is expected to be priced between Toyota Etios and Hyundai Verna.
Sunny internationally comes with a much more powerful engine. In India however, Its expected to come in 1.5 Litre Petrol as Indian customer is more conscious about mileage due to rising fuel prices. Nissan Sunny will return ARAI certified mileage of 16.95 kmpl.
Nissan Sunny will come with features like rear comfort fan to circulate fresh air in rear cabin. In India, car will come with a manual transmission. Even suspension has been tweaked to better handle Indian road conditions.
Nissan Brand Ambassador Ranbir Kapoor will promote Nissan Sunny in India.
