Mahindra launches the most awaited mini-SUV the Quanto in four trims – C2, C4, C6 and C8. Mahindra Quanto comes with very competive starting price of Rs 5.82 lakh, with top end variant costing Rs. 7.36 lakh.
The Quanto is based on the ingenio platform and is powered by a modified three cylinder version of the mHawk diesel engine called mCR100. Quanto’s new engine is capable of 98.6bhp of power and 24.4kgm of torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox. Barring the base variant C2, Mahindra’s Micro Hybrid technology will be available on all variants.
The fully loaded version C8 gets alloy wheels, power windows, a Digital Drive Assist System (DDAS), driver seat height adjust, body coloured bumpers, electric wing mirrors and an integrated audio system (with CD, MP3 and radio), rear defogger, ABS, front airbags (driver and passenger), fog lamps and a reverse parking sensor.
Mahindra has launched the Quanto across all its dealerships in India with present production capacity of upto 7000 units between the Xylo and Quanto per month.
