Once world’s largest automaker, Toyota launched a limited edition variant of the Corolla Altis named as the Aero. The Aero is priced at Rs 11.47 lakh (ex-Delhi) based on the current Corolla Altis J variant that is powered by a 1.8-litre petrol engine that produces 138 BHP of peak power output at 6400 RPM and 173 Nm of peak torque output at 4000 RPM that is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and is Euro IV compliant.
Toyota Corolla Altis Aero limited edition will be available in two colors only – Silver Mica Metallic and Black Mica.Toyota symbolises the Altis Aero’s launch as a tribute to celebrate the Corolla’s 10th anniversary in the Indian market.
Since the Aero is a limited edition, Toyota will only manufacture 500 units and will be on sale only till September this year. A diesel version of the Aero is being considered but will go on floors looking at the response for the petrol version.
To make the Aero distinct to the Altis and to justify the Limited Edition tag, Toyota has given the Aero a few updates like
- new front Bumper Spoiler,
- Smoked headlights,
- 7-spoke alloy wheels,
- Dual tone seats with Aero emblem,
- Rear Spoiler with LED stop lamp,
- Smoked tail lights
