TVS launched its refreshed Apache RTR series at a starting price of Rs.67,505 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the RTR 160 while the RTR 180 is priced at Rs 72,090 and the RTR 180 with ABS costs Rs 82,780. The new Apache RTR is revised only on the styling front that comes as a huge dissappointment, major changes on the new Apache RTR being a new headlamp cluster that boasts of LED pilot lamps, and a redesigned fuel tank.
The bike on the whole doesnt look all that refreshed except for a few tweaks here and there which TVS could have given it on a larger scale of update on the styling and performance front which at this point in time is crucial for such an update with the competitors in the market coming up with high performance and sporty design bikes.
The new Apache RTR now gets dual-tone colours that is to keep up with the competitors like the Yamaha FZ and Fazer that has dual tone colors on them for which the Apache RTR will have to struggle hard to keep up with the competitors, its main competitor being the pulsar and its new 200NS is due for launch which TVS should have kept in mind. Other updates include a carbon-fibre look shroud for the digital instruments and a revised seat.
