Ford Fiesta 2012 gets a new base model, launches a new line-up

Ford Fiesta now gets a new base variant for the Ford Fiesta 2012- Ambiente, priced at Rs. 7.23 lakh for the 1.5L Ti-VCT pet rol and Rs 8.99 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi) for the 1.5L Duratorq TDCi diesel. In comparison to Fiesta’s rivals, Ford realised it late that the pricing of the Ford Fiesta was on the higher side when it was launched by Ford India last year and hence the new price tag and variants.

The Ford Fiesta Ambiente hosts higher variant features when compared to its competitors like the electric power-assisted steering, driver airbag, driver’s seat height adjuster, ABS, electrically adjustable outside rearview mirrors, tilt steering, guide me home headlamps, front seat belt height adjuster and adjustable rear headrests which no other cars in that segment offer as standard equipment.
Ford Fiesta Titanium+ i the top end model that gets cruise control, rear park assist, Bluetooth voice control, auto power-fold mirrors, reverse parking sensor and chrome front grille whereas the automatic Fiesta Titanium+ variant gets leather seats as addition to give that premium feel.

The Ford Fiesta is now available in six variants four in petrol that includes two automatic transmission variants and two in diesel.

With the new Ford Fiesta Ambiente being loaded with features of a  top end Vento or Verna, Ford is here for a big fight in the sales chart and now get the value for money tag that is around Rs.50,000 cheaper than the segment’s best handler Mitsubishi Cedia sports as Ford Fiesta is no less in terms of handling and sporty character.
