Mitsubishi Motors unveiled the next generation of their famous “crossover” Outlander at the ongoing 2012 Geneva International Motor Show. The new facelift version of the Mitsubishi Outlander gets a radical design changes on its exterior and interior styling.
The new Mitsubishi Outlander gets re-styled bumpers, head lamps, and front grille on the exterior. On the inside, the car gets high grade premium materials on the dashboard for better driver concentration including ergonomic steering wheel mounted controls and instrument cluster.
Mitsubishi will be offering a 2.0 litre petrol and a 2.2 litre diesel engine in Europe. The petrol engine will develops 150 PS of power and 195 Nm of torque in combination with a newly developed valve train. The 2.2 litre diesel engine produces 150 PS of power and 380 Nm of torque.
Both the engines are mated to a 6 speed automatic gearbox featuring the Automatic Stop-and-Go system. Some of the advanced features being offered include Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Mitigation system and Lane Departure Warning system. Mitsubishi will definitely bring this model to the Indian market soon, but can we expect same features as the international car is yet to be known.
