Honda showcased the new CBR150R sports bike at the last month Auto Expo now will be launching it next month in India. It will compete against the Yamaha R15 which the only other premium offering in the 150cc segment. The
CBR150R borrows its looks from the CBR250R, will be powered by a smaller 150cc engine giving out a 18bhp@10,500 rpm and 1.28 kgm@7500 rpm.
Both Honda and Yamaha seem to be still betting on the 150cc segment, when the premium bike consumer has been looking at the larger capacity bikes. Even Bajaj with launch of Pulsar 200NS has gone with the current trend of demand for larger capacity bikes in India. Expect Pulsar 200NS to be priced slightly below both R15 and CBR150R giving both these bikes run for the money.
