Toyota will launch a new refreshed facelifted Innova at the first quarter of the year post its unveiling at the Indian auto Expo. The New Innova is already out in the markets in the Middle East and a few Asian countries. The new Innova was first seen when it was launched at the Indonesian Auto Expo, July 2011 post which the MUV was launched in the other automobile markets.
The Innova has been in India for quite sometime now and is still going strong with the sales numbers and satisfied customers who bow to Toyota for its assurance on quality, mileage, service and hence the customer satisfaction. The Innova has indeed got a refreshed look with wide headlamp cluster giving the MUV a saloon like face while the side profile remains the same which means the space remains more or less the same. The rear looks refreshed too with tall clear tail lights and a slight tweak to the design of the rear door.
The interior looks very simple and user friendly with minimun controls. There is an in-dash LCD screen which hosts music system and various other info. The steering wheel is new and looks like it is derived from the Altis. There is wood trim along the centre console which looks classy.
The Innova on the technical side is powered by both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variant is powered by a 2.0ltr petrol engine with 132PS power at 5600rpm and 181Nm of torque at 4000rpm. While the diesel engine is powered by the same 2.4L D-4D diesel engine that delivers 102PS@3600 rpm and 200Nm of torque between 1400-3400 rpm.
