Chevrolet is proud that it has been 100yrs since they started in the automobile industry and still going strong. As a tribute to the 100th year celebrations, Chevrolet gifts the Indian automobile market with a new Beat.
The Beat has got a facelift, a new petrol engine and an electric engine(2013) which is in development for the new Beat, The exterior gets a refreshed urban look with broad grills and a tall chin with honeycomb intake bringing more appeal to it. The new Beat looks like it has worked out hard and has definitely built some muscle in terms of the exterior design.
The Beat is believed to get new interiors with improved material quality and a list of new exciting features. GM is planning to have bigger 15” tyres for the top end version with lower profile to give it a sporty look. New set of alloys as you can see is a nice touch to the sporty character. The rear lights will be hosted with LED lamps and the ORVM has sharper edges. The electric car will have an LCD display screen in place of the speedometer and tachometer dash.
The power train in the new beat is a new change, named ECOTEC that will do duty on the Beat and rest of the models worldwide having engines ranging from 1 litre to 1.5 litres will have a three and four cylinder setup. This new range of engines will be replaced by 1 litre to 1.8 litre petrol engines.
